Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and striker Thierry Henry lashed out at referee Terje Hauge after their side's Champions League final defeat on Wednesday.
"They [Barcelona] are not used to the pace of the Premiership and the ref -- if he didn't want us to win it just say so right from the start. Sometimes some calls in the game were a bit strange," ranted Henry of the Norwegian whistle-blower.
"Some of the referee's decisions today were horrendous. Next time I should learn how to dive maybe but I'm not a woman so I stay on my feet.
"I expect the referee to do his job but I don't think he did. Whatever happened tonight we can be more than proud."
Arsenal battled bravely despite being reduced to ten men just 18 minutes into the first half after keeper Jens Lehmann was red carded for upending Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o.
But while the pair had few complaints about the Germany stopper's sending off, Wenger was furious Eto'o's 76th-minute equaliser was allowed to stand.
"The hardest thing for me to accept is that their first goal was offside - when you go down to ten men, this is hard to accept," said Wenger. "When you consider the replacement of the original linesman and the goal being offside, it is very hard to take this seriously."
But the Frenchman admitted his side had failed to capitalise on the shock first-half lead afforded them by Sol Campbell's header.
"It was a very tight game, we defended very well and we know we had a few chances to score a second goal," said Wenger. "I feel we are an unlucky loser but a very good team has grown in the last two or three months."
